The Best Evening Wear Looks From F/W '15

Kaviar Gauche

Kaviar Gauche was founded in 2004 by Alexandra Fischer-Roehler and Johanna Kühl. The brand was shown at Berlin Fashion Week ’15, and is known for its “unpretentious, artsy, bridal couture.” The intricate detailing on the bodice is what really drew me into this collection.

Rosie Assoulin

I’m in love with how theatrical and exaggerated these silhouettes are. Assoulin played with oversized pleats, scooped hems, and asymmetry to create captivating looks for evening, perfect for the red carpet!

Marchesa

There’s definitely a Great Gatsby vibe happening with the model’s hair, as well as the beaded, and fringe detailing of the gowns. There’s a decadence there that proves black doesn’t have to be boring.

Lela Rose

My favorite dress out of the five is the organza midi with rows of fuchsia and navy florals. I want it in my closet right now! All in all, the color choices were smart, and I love how girly each of the looks are– even at the different lengths.

Naeem Khan

Naeem Khan is known for his use of traditional Indian fabrics and beading mixed with that of european aesthetics. While some of his more traditional looks worked well, (note the coral and black lace dress), his more simplistic gowns worked better. Khan is known for having celebrities wear his designs on the red carpet, and the ones shown below could definitely be contenders for the Oscar’s.

Delpozo

Josep Font’s collection featured a good mix of evening wear and daytime looks. So, I’ll probably do a separate post featuring the latter because they’re just too beautiful not to share. As far as what’s shown below, everything works cohesively, without seeming repetitive– something that’s not always easy to achieve.

Dion Lee

Dion Lee is onto something… His past few collections have played combining technical innovation with wearable looks. This time he hit the nail on the head. The clothes look luxe, but also effortless, despite how much work evidently went into it.

I wonder if we’ll be seeing any of these looks at the Oscar’s tonight… Leave your thoughts below!
