Beauty Trend: Dip Dyed Hair

Dip dyed hair is HUGE right now. Celebrities from Lauren Conrad to Drew Barrymore are sporting this daring trend. The thing about dip dyed hair is, the possibilities are endless. You could either go for a natural look (lighter or darker shades of your natural hair color) or you could go for bold color (rainbows, blues, purples, etc). Either way, you’re sure to get a unique look each time. Below I’ve outlined a few pros and cons and I’ve embedded a video to show you a step-by-step guide on how to get this look.

  • No matter what your hair will be damaged. Look specifically for shampoos and conditioners for damaged, bleached or dyed hair. Get your hair healthy again by applying a deep conditioning treatment every week and keep it moisturized.
  • Like with a lot of trends, not everyone can pull the look off.
  • It’s a pretty cool trend! Try it just to be daring and experiment with different colors that work for you.
  • If you end up not liking the look you can simply cut off the color and regrow your hair.
