Fireworks, Barbeque, Patriotism and Red/White/Blue

What do these words remind you of? The fourth of July of course! June is ending and July is about to begin, so what do you plan on wearing on Independence Day? If you have no idea keep reading for some cute outfit ideas. If you have something in mind already keep reading, maybe there’s something you forgot to add…

Keepin’ It Comfy. Rompers are super easy to wear and they are mega comfortable! By adding a jean jacket, you are sure to be warm if it starts to get chilly while you’re watching the fireworks. Either pair the outfit with stylish wedges to dress it up, or try canvas shoes to keep it casual. It’s All in The Details. If you don’t want to be incredibly literal with your patriotism, go for creams instead of whites, a nautical red handbag and cute navy sandals. It won’t come off as obvious as the first outfit, which depending on your style, could be a good thing! You’ll still look spirited because of the accents and simple touches you’ve included.

Edgy Glam.Tip: DIY your own flag shorts! Check out this tutorial.

Last weekend our family friends from Texas came to visit us! Their two kids, Chloe (9) and Zipporah (7) are adorable, and I consider them my little sisters. I asked Chloe if she wanted to take some pictures of me for my blog, and she quickly agreed… It was her first time using a professional camera, but I knew I could trust her! I gave her a basic tutorial and we were on our way. It was her suggestion that I use the bike as a prop which I thought was such a creative idea. The pictures turned out better than I expected; I bet you never would’ve guessed they were taken by a nine-year-old ;)

What do you think of these shots?
