“Eyeglasses are a fact of life for many of us. Beyond the benefit of clearer vision lies the ability to complement your facial features and overall look with eyeglass frames. In fact, there is some science behind selecting the appropriate frame that pairs nicely with the general shape of your face.”
I cannot believe the holidays are already here! Time flies. I love this time of year… spending time with the family, overeating, and of course GIFTS. While it’s fun to receive them, my favorite part is to give them (I’ve been told I am a great gift giver!). I’ve put together a list of items that could make great prezzies for someone on your list. They’re all affordable and better yet– stylish! So click on the first picture, and go through the slideshow. Let me know which presents stood out to you in particular.

I wasn’t allowed to wear makeup until I was 16. I’m turning 18 in early October, so makeup is still pretty new to me. I was allowed to wear lipgloss, and chap-stick though. Sometimes, even lipstick. Even today, I like to play around with my lip color. I kind of have an obsession. All of the products you see above, are in a little zipper pouch I carry in my backpack (during school days), or my purse (for the weekends). I have several more tubes, on my bathroom counter, bedside table, closet, and other bags. Is there a helpline I can call???
“Sometimes praying to the fashion gods just isn’t enough.” Pinch Provisions has revamped their classic Minimergency Kits to have the function of a survival kit with the form of a designer bag. There are a variety of colors (and now even prints!) and each bag is adorned with one of five good luck charms: A Chinese symbol of good fortune, a wishbone, an evil eye, a horseshoe, and a four-leaf clover. I love that there are even kits specifically for guys, moms, brides, grooms, and college students.

School is just around the corner. There are a lot of runway beauty trends out there, but many of them may cause some unwanted stares. While you may not be wearing a smokey eye like this one or a bold lip such as this, you can still look fresh off the runway on the first day of school! Check out some cute runway looks that are both school appropriate and chic below.
You may not be able to go as dramatic as the look pictured above, but a cat-eye is perfect for the girl who likes a little edge. It goes perfectly with any outfit that you choose. The best part of the cat-eye is that all you need is eye liner and mascara. Once you get the hang of applying it you will have an easy go to look for every day of school.
Subtle Pink Lip
For a little color, just apply a Chapstick first, and rub a little pink lipstick on your finger. Rub in the lipstick for a sheer finish that’s subtle, but still very pretty. This is a great look for those in a rush. Swipe on a coat of mascara and you’re good to go!
Metallic lids are perfect for the girly girl. The cat-eye might be a little too bold for her, but she still likes to have a little extra glitz in her daily makeup look. If you stick to copper and gold tones this look can be subtle and school appropriate. Add a thin line of eyeliner and a coat or two of mascara and you will achieve a fresh eye-catching look.
Funnily enough, this season’s runway shows had a lot of less is more. Minimalism is a huge trend for the fall. Just a hint of mascara and blush paired with a nude or pink lip is all you need. This is perfect for the no muss or fuss girl. She likes to look presentable every day, but does not feel the need to wear too much make up. There is a lot to appreciate about natural beauty and the minimalistic look embraces that!
Whether you are the type of girl who likes to go bold or stick to the bare minimum you can look runway ready when you step on school grounds this year. Hopefully the looks above inspired you!

Have you ever been unsure about purchasing a product? Or perhaps, needed a suggestion about which brand to get? Of course you have. Yabbly.com is a website that can help with that.
“Our philosophy is that the best purchasing decisions are made through dialogue with actual people who have made similar decisions recently. We believe that one of the main frustrations about online shopping today is that averaging a bunch of reviews just doesn’t cut it, and you’re left buying a product and simply hoping for the best.”
I wanted to test this out for myself. Above, is the question I asked. Immediately I got a response. Yabbly guarantees your question will be answered within 24 hours!
So far I’ve gotten four responses. This was one of them. Other users simply comment, and can attach a photo to go along with it! Very useful. I got back some great responses, and will definitely be trying out some new mascaras. You can ask a question about any sort of product whether it be beauty, fashion, technology, home, food, etc.
Another feature the site has, is a place to create your “Tens List.” This is where you select your top 10 favorite products that you use and love. Here’s mine!
Definitely visit the site, and sign up to start asking your questions! I’m looking forward to consulting it before I make any purchasing decisions I am unsure out in the future.

She’s at it again! This time Rihanna goes grey. Such a bold choice, but I’m not sure there’s any beauty look Ri Ri won’t try. One things for sure, she’d be a chic grandma! What do you think of it?
Rihanna is known for constantly changing up her look. Especially when it comes to her hair. Below are some of the looks she’s tried in the past year! Which look is your favorite. Personally, I loved the honey brown highlights, and bouncy curls.
Back in April I did a shoot with a local photographer and it featured a beautiful floral crown that she made specifically for our session! I’m seeing the trend everywhere this season, and it’s pretty easy to make one yourself.
You can make your crown with either fake or fresh flowers, but of course the fake floral crown will last longer.
Here are a few resources that show you how to achieve this look:
