Q:  I want to get a new haircut that includes bangs but I don’t know what type of bangs will suit my face. I have an oval/long face shape and wavy hair.

A:  Hi slytherin_rules! First of all I just wanted to say that slytherin is definitely my favorite house too, but about your question, I think summer is the best time to get a new haircut. Personally I think summer is the best time to go for any drastic change. With your oval face shape, there are endless options because an oval face is the most versatile. Loose waves, and tousled beachy hair is still trending, so you can get away with minimal styling because of your natural hair texture.

Bangs, however, require upkeep, and need to be trimmed regularly. Piecey bangs, ones cut like blunt bangs but styled to look intentionally messy, are probably your best bet as they will work with the waves already in your hair. These are also good because you can sweep them to create temporary side bangs. Remember that when you get your haircut you can always ask the stylist to tweak things a bit to your own liking, photos and advice are really only for inspiration.
