Let the Festivites Begin: Your Guide to Summer Festival Fashion

Coachella Celeb Fashion 2012

One of the most exciting things about summer are the music festivals; the big ones being Coachella (ends April 22) and Lollapalooza (starts August 3). I think it’s fair to say the fashion is almost just as important as the music! Above, you can see some of the celebrity looks from Coachella. The common festival outfit will include:

  • retro sunglasses
  • floppy hats
  • flowy dresses
  • cutoff shorts
  • cropped tops
  • bandeaus
  • comfy shoes
  • fringe

Got your tickets ready for a festival coming up but don’t know what to wear ? These looks will have you looking “best-dressed-list” worthy!

Try this fun fringe poncho top! The fact that it's crochet will help keep you cool from the heat. Play up the color with purple denim shorts and a tribal knapsack.

A floral bandeau top and polka dot shorts are the perfect combo of girly and cute. These platform shoes are super comfortable, so you won't have to worry about sore feet!

A cropped tie-front top and a sheer hi-low maxi is even more sophisticated when paired with a pretty floral headband. TOMS are great for walking in, yet they don't sacrifice style.

A lace peek-a-boo dress like this one is a simple pallete that you can go crazy with accessories on. Try a gold headpiece like the one on the right. Frilly, pastel socks are super adorable when paired with ankle booties.
