Who: De Siena Shoes
What: De Siena is a new born brand into the fashion market, but it comes from a very long line of experience. The two designers both come from long time experience in very famous fashion brands, and the production is manufactured by a very prestigious factory in Italy.
Where: The company is based in Zurich/Switzerland but all of the shoes are manufactured in Italy in an area close to Florence.
I had the pleasure of talking with the facebook page administrator of the new brand De Siena Shoes, Ombretta Mottadelli, to discuss the brand’s successes and future endeavors.
I asked if she could describe the brand in a sentence or two. “A sparkling mix which combines exuberance and the well established tradition of fashion made in Italy, with the Swiss- style attention for details and a bit of chic French: these are the premises of the new haute couture women’s shoeswear brand De Siena.”
Currently, there are six exclusive models in thirteen different colors, linked by the unconditional taste for class, sensuality and charm.
The new company already has amazing credentials. “De Siena shoes are made to dream. In fact the latest campaign was shot with the cooperation of Alberta Ferretti’s gorgeous dresses, in the beautiful Hotel Danieli in Venice. Danieli is the romantic well-known building and it also was the set for some of the most unforgettable scenes of The Tourist with the couple Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie.”
After the triumph in Switzerland De Siena is now ready to enchant the European and Asian market, with high luxury shoes made to impress. The founder of the brand Francesco Lorenzi defines that “The most feminine and comfortable high heel shoes ever made by a Swiss company. ” De Siena has already started to climb the top ten of European and International luxury brands, as demonstrated by the recent success during the last Paris Fashion Week where the collection was displayed in Memymode Paris fashion fair, at the Borse du Commerci from September 30th to October 3rd.
Although these shoes are gorgeous, they’re not for the average woman’s income (the average pair is around 520 euro). “Our average customer are mostly celebrities, fashionistas and people who can appreciate a luxury product with a sexy touch.”
Of course I had to ask: What are the future goals for the brand? Here’s the answer I received: “We would like in the next 5 year to become the “first in mind” for Italian cocktail/night events high heel chic but sexy shoes in Asia, Italy,Europe, USA. We will stay concentrated on our style also for the incoming Winter collection.”
