Street Style: Meet Faye

Meet Faye, age 16 from Birmingham, England…

Describe your style: Quirky, vintage pieces mixed with neutral layers and the occaisonal guilty pleasure girly piece.

Last item of clothing you bought and for how much: a winter coat from Primark for £25

Dream Job: a full time blogger would be an incredible job but wouldn’t neccesarily pay the bills! I’d love to work for my favourite fashion magazine Company writing about ethical issues to do with the fashion industry and also writing about vintage and charity shop finds.

Your fashion inspiration: Mary-Kate Olsen for her winning masculine looks and daring attitude when it comes to clothes. I love how she wears new designer’s pieces and isn’t afraid to experiment with different lengths, interesting fabrics and eccentric patterns.

Something about yourself most people don’t know: Most people don’t know I run my blog, only my family know – not even close friends! It’s an issue I have with them not understanding why I do it.

What color do you own most of: I have a LOT of grey clothing, I love to use it for layering with brighter colours. I also have a lot of pink pieces which isn’t surprising seeing as it’s definitely my favourite colour!

Fav stores: If I had all the money in the world, I’d buy everything from Topshop. But on my budget I love h&m, Primark, New Look and Republic.

One outfit you couldn’t live without? My bright red hotpants with my vintage velvet leotard, such a FUN outfit that can be dressed up or down.

Fav designer? I love Alexander Wang’s unique cuts and use of neutral colours, he always seems to come up with something brand new and never before seen, yet makes it wearable and elegant.

Fav fashion mag? Company magazine features gorgeous high-street budget fashion and also covers lots of interesting subjects for young students like me including; travelling, gap years, career paths and interviews with insiders of the industry.

Fashion mantra? see potential in every garment, because a couple stitches here and there can completely transform something!

Any other info we should know: i’m currently planning a guest blogging project with a difference for my blog, keep a look out!
