Street Style: Meet Veronica

Meet Veronica (Nicky) Dow Ehrlich, age 17 from Portland, Oregon…
Describe your style – Classically bohemian? I tend to go for things that are more basic that I can mix and match, but also standout pieces that can highlight my creativity. I try not to be too trendy.
Last item of clothing you bought and for how much - A floral kimono style jacket from Target. It was on sale for $9!
Dream Job – I want to be a mom. I’ve never known what job I wanted to have, but I want the white-picket-fence kinda life. I want to stay home with my kids and my hubby, blog, and learn how to knit.
Your fashion inspiration - Other people. I have this spiral notebook where I cut out pictures from magazines or print them out. I usually look for inspiration on how to style certain things, or how to put outfits together. My inspiration mostly comes from bloggers, people I see on the street and at school, and Vanessa Hudgens. I think she has great, effortless style!
What color do you own most of - Tan or beige. I tend to always gravitate towards it, even though it probably washes me out. A lot of blue also finds its way into my closet, but I don’t mean for it to.
Fav stores - I love thrift stores and consignment shops, such as Buffalo Exchange. I try not to shop at places like Forever21, as their products are a little cheap, but they have such cute, low-priced clothes that I can’t help but love them. I also love Target and TJMaxx. If I could afford it: Modcloth.
One outfit you couldn’t live without? A great dress, a cardigan, and flats. Everyone will think you’re stylish if you wear dresses, but really they’re just easy. I have a lot of cardigans and sweaters, so that’s something I could wear for weeks and not get tired of.
Fashion mantra?  Just do it (think Nike). If I want to wear something but I don’t want to look like a freak, I usually just wear it. I feel like if I regret wearing it, I just won’t wear it again. I don’t like to play it too safe with my clothes.

New: Essie Winter Collection

I’ve always heard that Essie is a quality nail polish, and I’ve always loved their color variation (and cute names!). Recently, I got the fall color “Tart Deco” for my birthday and I could finally appreciate and understand why it’s so popular.

Unfortunately, winter is nearing, (there’s a light frost on the ground where I live, and a bitter chill in the air) keep your nails pretty though with Essie’s new winter collection! This season’s colors range from soft pinks to midnight blues. If you purchase your polish at Macy’s you get a free gift.
